What is QSM3 chiropractic care?

This highly effective and gentle chiropractic technique is an evolution of the upper cervical NUCCA procedure.

The focus of QSM3 is to reset old holding patterns due to traumas which can lead to misalignments from the skull to the pelvis. When your body is experiencing compression and stress there is little room for healing. Once these old holding patterns are reset, healing, reduced tension, and improved movement can begin. The human body wants to move with freedom and lack of pain, now's the time to create this.

Reasons to Try IASTM Technique

The general goals of the therapy are to reduce the patient's pain and increase mobility through a combination of:

· Breaking down the scar tissue and fascia restrictions that are usually associated with some form of trauma to the soft tissue (e.g., a strained muscle or a pulled ligament, tendon, or fascia).

· Reducing restrictions by stretching connective tissue in an attempt to rearrange the structure of the soft tissue being treated (e.g., muscle, fascia, tendons, ligaments).

· Promoting a better healing environment for the injured soft tissue.

IASTM Technique offers several potential advantages:
· Decreasing overall treatment time
· Fostering faster rehabilitation/recovery
·Reducing the need for anti-inflammatory medication
·Resolving chronic conditions thought to be permanent

What is IASTM?
IASTM (instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization) Technique uses specifically designed stainless steel instruments to achieve the effects and benefits of soft tissue mobilization and treating soft tissue problems. It is an evidence-based method that is used in combination with rehabilitative exercises to improve musculoskeletal function.

The pressure used in IASTM Technique activates certain nerve fibers as well as the body’s sensory receptors including mechanoreceptors and proprioceptors. Together, these help you repair and strengthen muscles.

WHAT IS MOVING CUPPING THERAPY?
This treatment involves the placement of 'cups' on the body, whereby the air inside the cups has been removed to create a vacuum that allows the cups to stay attached to the body. These cups are then moved in a very specific pattern that follows areas of compression.
SO WHY PLACE CUPS ON THE BODY?
The procedure is intended to get fluids moving through the body. Stagnation or lack of movement of fluids or energy is believed to be the root cause of pain and other health imbalances. When you think of a stagnant body of water in nature, it's often a breeding ground for bacteria and not a healthy source of water you'd want to drink. Breaking up stagnation in the body and getting blood, lymph, and energy to move freely throughout the body can help the body to function and feel better. Cupping can be done on many areas of the body. It can be helpful for those suffering from connective tissue issues, muscle spasm or pain, stiffness, and headaches. Cupping will increase blood circulation in the skin and muscles, creating a change in the connectivity, in turn helping the tissue to heal and alleviating related chronic pain. Another purported benefit of cupping: it stimulates the nerves in the skin, which has a calming effect on the nervous system.

Not Your Normal Chiropractor

Dr. Cody Moss offers a unique low-force approach to healing. Absolutely no neck cracking. Gentle and specific force is applied to communicate with the nervous system and release constrictions. These highly effective adjustments can be felt immediately as the body begins to unwind.

Inspired from NUCCA and other upper cervical techniques, this style (QSM3) realizes the body as a whole living system. This approach takes into account the push and pull of posture and how a balanced spine, starting from the atlas down, can release compressive tension. This compression is at the root of inflammation which is the beginning of all disease.

Gentle and precision force is applied to the muscles surrounding the vertibrae in the neck which aligns and balances the spine and entire body.
