Meet Lisa H., our Employee of the Month at Sterling Healthcare!

Lisa grew up in Ridley Township and met her husband, Steve, at the Granite Run Mall in 1991 while shopping; they married in 1998. She is the mother of 2 daughters and 1 son. Lisa landed the job of her dreams at Sterling in 2017 as an Activity Aide. She demonstrates dedication as a team player in all departments as she displays outstanding customer service for our residents, families and staff.

When you see Lisa, she has a smile to greet you and a hand to lend you. She goes above and beyond to create a happy and engaging environment for our residents, as many residents want to follow her from place to place.

Lisa loves singing, dancing, and dressing up as characters. Some of her characters have been Elsa from Frozen, Cruella de Vil, Winnie-the-Pooh and her 70's outfit. Her favorite quote is, “Smile so you don't get wrinkles”

🔋🌟 Happy Holidays from Sterling Healthcare! As we reflect on our year-end events, we want to give a special thanks to Gina from Amedisys Hospice for hosting the 'Recharge Station.' Our staff thoroughly enjoyed the session and are grateful for the chance to unwind and recharge. It was the perfect end to a bustling year, and we're all feeling refreshed and thankful! 🙏💖

Resident of the Month: Mildred B. (Millie)

Millie was born in 1925 in New York City and she had one sibling. She attended New York City Public High School and, after graduation, she attended Hunter College.

While attending school she was invited to a Cotillion and she had a best friend named Ann.

She was employed as a secretary for a prestigious law firm in Manhattan, New York. She decided to change her career and she became a teacher and taught at Overbrook School of the Blind where she taught typing, Social Etiquette and also was Curator of the Touch and Learn Center in Philadelphia.

Millie met and married her husband after meeting him while vacationing in the Lake George area in New York’s Adirondacks.

Millie learned to drive at the age of 28. A lesson her parents taught her was to always try to be positive and resilient and to never say die. Keep going.
