~ Legacy of The Elders ~
In the heart of time, a forest stands,
Old growth majesty, where wisdom spans.
A tapestry of stories etched in bark,
A legacy that lights the woodland dark.
Each towering elder, a sentinel of years,
Bearing witness to joys, enduring tears.
Through droughts and wars, the forest stood,
A testament to life, where once it could.
In the crucible of flames and strife,
Some elders gave their all, their life.
Their sacrifice, a gift to the unknown,
A chance for new saplings, freshly sown.
Oh, young sapling, fragile and green,
Born into a world, complex, unseen.
Look to the elders, the giants of yore,
Who weathered storms, yet stood galore.
In shadows cast by the old and grand,
You find shelter, safe upon the land.
Their roots, like stories, intertwine,
A living tapestry, aged, divine.
Respect the elders, oh sapling bold,
For they've walked the paths of stories told.
In their branches, whispers of the past,
Lessons learned that forever last.
This world, a canvas painted with time,
A symphony where every life does chime.
The elders, though weathered, strong,
Their legacy, a gift, a timeless song.
Reflect, young sapling, on this gift,
The sacrifice that gives your spirits lift.
For in the shadow of the ancient tree,
Lies the essence of what it means to be.
Give reverence to those who came before,
Their wisdom, a beacon forevermore.
Honor, love, and hold them dear,
For in their tales, your path is clear.
In the dance of time, as seasons turn,
Let gratitude within your heart burn.
May you, young sapling, grow tall and free,
A testament to the elders' legacy.
