The first few days after surgery can often be the most difficult, stressful, and important for patients and their caregivers. Patients are usually showering for the first time after surgery, changing dressings/garments the first time, taking care of/monitoring JP drains, etc.
Even if you have a caregiver to help you the first few days, it can be very intimidating and overwhelming no matter how much you prepare prior to your surgery.
CNS can provide a nurse to come to your home/hotel to check on you. Rather it is to make sure you are properly doing the dressings, JP care, answer any questions/concerns you have come across, help you with your first shower, change garments, etc. Having a highly trained nurse who works closely with your surgeon can help decrease stress and provide that added comforting feeling knowing everything is being done correctly, and your healing and recovery is getting off to a good start in the right direction.

When having surgery of any kind and going under general anesthesia, it is very important to have someone with you the first 24 to 48 hours. The first day or two is the most critical after having surgery. Most patients will be taking prescriptions such as pain meds, nausea meds, muscle relaxers, antibiotics, etc. and will need someone to assist them in taking the medications correctly.
CNS can help provide a nurse to stay with you the first 24 to 48 hours when you need someone the most.
Often patients have someone that can stay with them, but that person isn’t comfortable enough dealing with medications, dressing changes, and any other immediate care that is required right after surgery. For more information about how CNS can help see below👇🏻!

CNS makes privacy a top priority when it comes to our patients. Often times patients want to have elective surgery, but are not comfortable with telling their friends/relatives/close ones they are considering it. That then leads to the issue of not having someone to bring/pickup for surgery, help the first 1-2 nights, or help with any aftercare. Don’t let that be the reason you chose not to have the procedure you have been wanting for so long. CNS can provide top care while you, the patient, can maintain your privacy. My name is Brandi Davis and I am a nurse here in Baton Rouge, LA and have been since 2012. I have been working in plastic surgery since September of 2012 as a nurse and I absolutely love my job and wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Having worked in plastic surgery for several years I have noticed that there was a need for certain nursing services to help patients before/during/after surgery. I can’t tell you how many times I get on a daily basis the question of “Does someone have to bring/pick me up from my surgery”, or “Does someone have to stay the night with me after my surgery”, and my answer is always YES! With any surgery were you receive general anesthesia, rather it is cosmetic or medically necessary, you have to have someone bring and pick you up from surgery and stay with you the first night or two. Many times patients don’t have the at home support or extra person in their lives to help them or want to tell anyone they are having surgery in general.
One example I see often is the everyday mom that has one or more kids. She comes in for a cosemtic surgery consult and then finds herself not having someone to either bring, pick, or stay the first night with her to help care for her as she recovers initially. Don’t get me wrong, almost all of these women have wonderful spouses/friends but the spouse is tasked with the job of bringing/picking up the kids from school and taking on the “single parent role” on top of all the other responisbilities they already have. A lot of people would say “well does she not have a friend or someone she could ask bring her, etc.”. Well I’m sure alot of these patients do but at the same time these patients want to keep things as private as possible. Not every patient is as open as most about having a cosmetic procedure, so hence why they wouldn’t ask anyone that they know to help them. Also some patients don’t want to bother or inconvenience their family/friends with helping them through the whole process of having surgery.
All of the different questions, concerns, and situations that I get on a daily basis made me start to think about creating a company that could help these patients out. Rather it was because they didn’t have the help/support, wanted things as private as possible, or didn’t want to inconvenience anyone else, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be able to achieve their wants/needs. Everyday people choose certain options to make their lives easier and less stressful. For example Waiter, Uber, concierge medicine for their primary care, Amazon Prime, etc., so why shouldn’t there be options to help make having surgery less stressful and convient as possible for the patient.
CNS is a nurse owned and operated company that provides boutique nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgery. CNS prides its self on providing the best care possible for patients using the most qualified and experienced staff with some of our nurses having 15-20+ years of nursing experience. The nursing staff works closely with your surgeon to stay on top of your care and communicate any questions or concerns that you might have before or after surgery. Along with top tier care, CNS makes it a top priority to keep everything as private as possible for you, the patient. Patients should be able to concentrate and focus on the actual procedure and recovery/healing, not about how they are going to get to and from appointments, dressing changes, or even stressing about making a private thing not so private. Rather you need transport to and from your surgery/appointments, hotel arrangement/accommodations, overnight nursing care, food delivery, or even home nursing visits, CNS is here to help make an already stressful situation, less stressful.
