Cornerstone Special Education Alliance Inc.

Cornerstone Special Education Alliance Inc. WE ARE YOUR PERSONAL IEP EXPERTS! We relieve your frustration and anxiety by representing your family

Our mission is to ensure students with disabilities receive the tools, opportunities, skills, and supports they need while in school to find their purpose and lead meaningful and fulfilling lives. We coach and train parents of students with disabilities how to navigate and fully utilize special education services, so their child can have complete access to the same education that children without

disabilities acquire. Advocacy
Our main area of service is the advocacy we provide parents during school meetings that concerns their student’s education. These meetings include IEP, MRT, FBA, 504, disciplinary meetings, due process meetings, placement meetings or any other type that a parent may request our services. The preparation for these meetings includes a full education analysis using the student’s cumulative folder, building a student profile with the data provided, finding strengths and weaknesses with the student and how they learn, and meeting with the parent one on one to develop an Individual Education Plan that will accommodate their student using research based interventions and curriculum. Training
We provide training seminars for parents so they can better learn the special education process, learn how to observe the child and set measurable goals accordingly, communicate with the schools effectively, and become well informed, confident members of their child’s educational team. Transitions
We are helping parents realize transition goals for their student with special needs that go beyond schooling. We start the conversation with the parents at an early age to help determine what might be an appropriate path for the student and what their goals may be. It is our desire that the parent and student become self-determined concerning their future. This could include many things from secondary and higher education to owning their own self-employed business.

Important Update for Families and Employees 📢

We're navigating some significant financial challenges that impact our district. Due to reductions in federal funding and shifts in student enrollment, we're facing tough decisions, including staff reductions and increased class sizes.

Superintendent Dr. Dana Kriznar has shared a detailed message explaining these changes and our plan moving forward.

💼 Changes include:
- Reductions in positions at both the district and school levels
- Increases in class sizes across all grade levels

We are committed to supporting all affected employees through this transition. For full details and to read Dr. Kriznar's complete message, visit our website.

Together, we'll continue to support our students and each other through these challenging times.
