✅ FACT: Pain is a warning sign — not a requirement for progress.

🚫 “No pain, no gain” is one of the most harmful fitness myths out there. Yes, making progress can be uncomfortable — but sharp, lingering, or recurring pain is your body’s way of telling you something isn’t right.

In fact:
🔹 Pushing through pain can increase inflammation, prolong recovery, and lead to compensation patterns
🔹 Studies show that proper exercise selection and load management result in better long-term outcomes than "toughing it out"
🔹 You can still get stronger, more mobile, and more resilient without pain

🚫 MYTH: You’ll lose all your progress if you take a week off.
✅ TRUTH: Progress isn’t that fragile — and rest is part of the process.

Summer is full of travel, downtime, and changes in routine — and that’s OK. Taking a break from your normal workouts doesn’t mean you’re starting from zero when you return. In fact: your body remembers what you’ve built. And sometimes, rest and stepping away can actually help you return refreshed and re-motivated.

🧭 The key: Have a plan for when you get back.
→ Know what day you’re restarting.
→ Ease back into your routine.
→ Focus on movement you enjoy.
→ Don’t “punish” yourself — just recommit.

So yes — enjoy your vacation. Take the hike. Sleep in. Skip the gym. Just don’t let the myth of “starting over” keep you from starting again.
