❤️🚒 Giving Back to Our Community 🚒❤️

There is something truly special about giving with purpose—and our residents embraced that wholeheartedly. Together, they spent time assembling care baskets for the three Urbandale Fire Department stations as a meaningful way to recognize the individuals who show up for our community every single day.

These baskets represent more than just items—they reflect appreciation, connection, and the pride our residents feel in supporting those who dedicate their lives to protecting others. Being able to give back in this way brought a sense of joy and purpose to everyone involved.

A special thank you to Hannah King, our Clinical Liaison, for helping deliver these baskets and ensuring they made it to the hands of our local heroes.

To our firefighters: thank you for your courage, your commitment, and your service. We are truly grateful for all that you do. ❤️

💬 What inspired you to work in long-term care?
I’ve always been drawn to working with older adults because I genuinely enjoy connecting with them. I love hearing their stories and learning about their life experiences—the history they carry is incredible. Being able to build relationships with residents and make a positive difference in their daily lives is what inspired me to work in long-term care.

💛 What do you love most about your role?
I love building relationships with the residents and their families. Those connections are what make the work so meaningful to me.

I coach little league baseball.

Happy Easter Weekend! Residents had a fun time celebrating at our Easter Event on Friday Afternoon. The Easter Bunny was here along with fun activities including Face Painting, Cookie Decorating, Coloring, and of course lots of Eggs and Candy! Thank you to all who participated in our festivities!

My interest in long term care comes from a desire to make meaningful differences in people's lives, especially those who need consistent support and compassion. I've always valued building relationships and long term care allows me to connect with residents.

What I love most about my role is the opportunity to make a positive difference in someone’s day. Even the smallest moments—helping someone feel comfortable, truly listening to them, or simply making them smile—can have a meaningful impact, and that’s what I find most rewarding.

🍦😎 75° in March?! You already know what that means… ICE CREAM TIME!

Our residents were all smiles as we served up some sweet treats and turned an ordinary day into a mini celebration. Sprinkles were flying, laughs were shared, and let’s just say… a few second helpings may have happened 😉💛

And the best part? Around here, ice cream isn’t just for warm days—we enjoy it year-round thanks to our soft serve machine! 🍦✨
