Governor Hochul, your signature on S.7001 / A.7616 can help make that all real!
New York’s nonprofit sector delivers critical services – housing, mental health support, education, childcare, elder care, workforce development, and so much more – every single day.
Yet our organizations and workers continue to operate under impossible contracting processes that delay MILLIONS of dollars in reimbursements and make it nearly impossible to serve the New Yorkers who rely on us.
S.7001 / A.7616 – sponsored by Assemblywoman Amy Paulin and Senator Shelley Mayer – offers practical, overdue improvements that will fix these broken systems and finally allow our sector to focus on mission instead of bureaucracy.
Let’s end the year on a high note. Let’s start 2026 even stronger.

Governor Hochul! Sign S.7001 / A.7616 TODAY.
