As of day, we have had Hawke 1 year. After having Vallie for 15 years, we forgot how much energy a young dog has. Renetta has been trying to teach him how to give shoulder massages. Not very successful as far.
And no, I don't do massages.

Have you been eating your green leafy vegetables? Spring dandelion season is in full swing. But, did you know you can eat dandelion greens? I think they are in the spring mix we get at the grocery. If your food budget is tight, go pick some dandelion greens. (I think I'll stick you the spring mix at the grocery).

Don't ignore the warning signs!
First off, sorry, I didn't get a video of this, but an emergency vehicle, sirens blaring, came down the street next to us as we were walking. Hawke stopped, put his head back, and howled like he was speaking the language of his people. I have found the only time he howls is for emergency vehicle sirens.
When we hear sirens, we understand they are a warning. And we better not ignore it.
Our bodies also have warning signs. Pain is an example. Pain tells us something is wrong. Don't ignore it. Pain is usually not the problem. Don't treat it like it is. If you are experiencing pain, especially joint pain, you need to be evaluated in the office to see what the problem is.

First of all , Hawke got a haircut last week , which was good since it was mid sixties and full sun on our two mile walk today. He didn't even ask for a treat when we got back. He went straight for his water bowl.
Today's thoughts were mostly prayers for people in my Bible study group. I am not a prayer warrior, but today, my thoughts were for some very close friends. I hope you all have good, Godly people in your lives. Do you have faithful people who you can share life with?

First of all, Hawke needs a haircut, so he does look a little scruffy. He is 13 months old, and we have given him Standard Process supplements since we got him last April. One is for gut health, one is for bone health, and one is a vitamin and mineral supplement. These same kinds of supplements, plus multiple other supplements, are great for people, too.
