PINK VAIL: Team Ski You Later, Cancer - Ruth Stanley Pink Vail is the world's biggest ski day to conquer cancer. 100% of Pink Vail donations and registration fees benefit all patients at Shaw Cancer Center.

We have been a team (more than 50 members last year and growing) fundraising for Pink Vail since it's inception. We pride ourselves as having been in the top 15 as far as fundraising efforts: Silent Auctions, door to door knocking and soliciting relentlessly our friends and families! We can't do it without our donors! Please help us help others. We have skied for so many friends and family members who had been undergoing treatment at the time of Pink Vail, survivors, or have lost their battle with Cancer. About PINK VAIL:
Everyone has been affected by cancer in some way. People run, walk and grow facial hair for cancer. In Vail, we ski! Pink Vail is a fundraiser that brings nearly 3,000 people, dressed in pink, together on Vail Mountain for an all-day event with live music, deck parties, costume contest and more. Pink Vail proceeds benefit all patients at Shaw Regional Cancer Center through improvements to patient care and by funding our Spirit of Survival program, providing all patients the opportunity to receive free exercise training, nutrition coaching, emotional support, massages, acupuncture, outdoor adventures and much more. These unique services can dramatically impact a patient’s quality of life, but are not typically covered by insurance.

It's that time of year again!! We, Team: Ski Ya Later, Cancer!, will be participating in Pink Vail on Saturday, March 24, 2018 to support our local cancer center and we need your support!

Pink Vail is the world's biggest ski day to conquer cancer. Proceeds benefit all patients at Shaw Cancer Center through improvements to patient care and by funding the Spirit of Survival program, providing all patients the opportunity to receive free exercise training, nutrition coaching, emotional support, massages, acupuncture, outdoor adventures and much more. These unique services can dramatically impact a patient's quality of life, but are not typically covered by insurance.

Join our team! You don't have to be a skier to join the team, there are many ways to participate with us. Costume contest, entertainment and fun will take place at Pink Vail Headquarters located at the base of Vail Mountain at Golden Peak.

My friend Amy Enlow is in her 4th battle with cancer.... She's shared her story with me below.... Please keep Amy, and anyone else who is going through this battle in your prayers.

My battles: In 2004, I was diagnosed with double breast cancer of two different types. I went through chemo, Right mastectomy with Left Lumpectomy then 6 weeks of radiation. In 2005 it returned to my left breast so i had a Left mastectomy and more chemo. This put me into early 2006. I had checkups every 6 months for the next 9 years. Blood work was always good. I always felt fine. Then in early 2015, my tumor markers started to creep up. I had more frequent blood work. I never had any symptoms of something being wrong. As the markers kept going up, I had two MRIs, several CT scans, colonoscopy and two different biopsies, one which had to be repeated because the doctor didn't get a good enough sample. (Lucky me). Then in July of last year the tumors were found on my Omentum. They were triple positive for what is looked for. I qualified for a clinical trial which is what I am doing to treat the cancer. The clinical drug is called Entinostatt. I may be getting that or the placebo. I am taking an estrogen inhibitor called Exemesta and Exemestane is the other drug.
