In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, SGMC Health is offering 150 free 3D mammogram screenings to women who are uninsured and demonstrate financial need. 🎗️🩷

This initiative, now in its 3rd year, is made possible through generous donations to the SGMC Health Foundation. Screenings are available at the SGMC Imaging Center in Valdosta or SGMC Health Berrien in Nashville. 📍

Participants must meet the following criteria:

✅ Be 40+ years old
✅ Uninsured and demonstrate financial need
✅ Are not pregnant
✅ Haven’t had a mammogram in the past 12 months
✅ Not currently experiencing breast problems (those with symptoms should contact their physician)
✅ Live in one of the following counties: Lowndes, Berrien, Lanier, Brooks, Echols, Cook, Atkinson, or Irwin

Beginning Saturday, October 4, a portion of Woodrow Wilson Drive near the intersection with Slater Street will be closed for approximately two weeks due to underground utility work related to SGMC Health’s Main Campus Expansion Project.

🏥 Access to the Emergency Department:
During this time, patients seeking emergency care should enter via Cowart Avenue off Ashley Street.
🚗 Detours & Access:
Valdosta, A City Without Limits will have a detour in place. Please use caution when traveling in the area.
➡️ Inpatients, outpatients, and visitors should continue entering the hospital through the Main Entrance off Pendleton Drive or via the parking deck.
