👣 Plantar Fasciitis Treatment: What Is Dry Needling with Periosteal Pecking?
If you’ve been dealing with ongoing heel pain, your plantar fascia (the thick band of tissue on the bottom of your foot) may not be healing properly.
One treatment we offer is Dry Needling (DN) with periosteal pecking.
Here’s what that means in simple terms:
• A very thin needle is used to gently stimulate the irritated tissue
• The technique targets the attachment of the plantar fascia at the heel
• This stimulation helps “restart” the body’s natural healing response
• It can improve blood flow and reduce long-term irritation
This approach is often helpful when stretching, rest, orthotics, or other treatments haven’t fully resolved the pain.
If heel pain is lingering and limiting your daily activities, we’re happy to see if this option is right for you.
