I was asked a question today that I was not prepared for…
“Any updates on Sarah?” 🌱😅 Apparently this is now a series!

Sarah is thriving: New leaves, new support, and new plant friend..... questionable plant light settings. If you speak plant, please drop your wisdom below!
Next chapter: Moving with us to the new Brandon office and getting a natural light upgrade.

Growth takes time, patience, and sometimes asking for help.
More updates coming soon 💛

Today’s work was about creating space for healing. 💚

I spent the day at Hope for Her in Brandon, volunteering alongside an incredible group to refresh the Hope Garden, a space designed for healing, reflection, and connection. We cleared old mulch, planted flowers to attract butterflies, added decorative stonework, and painted rocks that will live throughout the garden.

Huge credit to Lily, a local student leading this project with so much heart. A butterfly mural is still to come, and the vision for this space continues to grow, including hopes for a bird bath to make it even more welcoming.

At Papaya, we believe health is deeply connected to environment, community, and feeling supported — and this garden reflects exactly that.

If you’d like to support Lily’s project, Hope for Her is accepting donations for the garden and small kitchen appliances that help women rebuild and move forward. Every little bit truly makes a difference.

Last night I had the honor of being named Solo Entrepreneur of the Year by the Valrico FishHawk Chamber of Commerce.

Papaya Primary Care was built on the belief that healthcare should feel supportive, personal, and accessible. To have that work recognized by a community I care so deeply about is incredibly meaningful.

Thank you to the Chamber, the selection committee, and every person who has supported this journey — especially my patients, who remind me every day why this work matters.

This award reinforces what I already know: when care is built on trust and connection, real impact follows. 💚

GFR (glomerular filtration rate) is a simple blood test that shows how well your kidneys are working — and it’s one of those numbers that matters even when you feel totally fine.

A few kidney facts that might surprise you:
• Kidneys work 24/7 to filter 120–150 quarts of blood daily
• Early kidney changes usually have no symptoms
• Elevated blood pressure, blood sugar, and dehydration affect GFR
• Routine testing catches changes early to protect long-term health

Preventive care starts with knowing your numbers. If it’s been a while since you’ve checked in on your kidney health, Papaya offers an affordable health plan that includes GFR screening.

No gym. No equipment. No pressure.

Just a wall, a few minutes, and the decision to move your body where you are.
Sustainable habits start with mindset and action.

2 minutes of movement is still movement, and it adds up. Take the win!
A few wall push-ups today → stronger tomorrow → more energy next month.

Collected eggs this morning… and one of them is tiny, but still mighty.

Did you know?
Eggs are one of the most nutrient-dense foods you can eat — protein, brain fuel, and steady energy in one little shell.

What’s your go-to egg order? Comment below👇

Led an amazing Power Pod meeting with these fierce small businesses owners this morning!

January's theme
Setting intentions without the pressure: a gentle, confidence boosting way to kick off the year focused on clarity energy and personal winds rather than rigid resolutions.

We did an activity that you can do too. Gut reaction, rate each of the following from 1 to 10:
>Your energy level
> Your stress level
> Your support level

Then write down one thing from last year that gave you fuel and one thing that drained you.

In healthcare I find that many patients are often judging and valuing themselves against their numbers. Blood pressure, weight, cholesterol, sugar, steps. Use these values as information, data points not grades to guide change.

What's one small action you can do today that will fuel you or one thing that drains you that you're ready to release? Comment yours below!
