I had the privilege to meet with the St Henry girls basketball coach, volleyball coach and their strength and conditioning coach to take them through my mobility routine.

Most injuries occur at the end of our range of motion. Mobility challenges and strengthens us in that vulnerable position. When done correctly, the outcome is stronger ligaments and tendons in that vulnerable position.

I am extremely thankful for my clients. While building relationships and watching them get stronger and move their bodies in ways that they haven’t in years, or in some situations ever is the most satisfying process I have ever been a part of. With that being said I have one spot available which is Tuesday from 5:45 to 6:45 PM and then my books are full and I will be starting a waiting list. Forward head posture, where the head juts forward from prolonged slouching, strains the neck and spine, causing pain and stiffness. It commonly affects desk workers, beauticians, and anyone hunched over computers, tools, or workstations for long hours. This posture overworks neck and chest muscles while weakening upper back muscles. Corrective exercises help by relaxing overactive muscles and strengthening underactive ones, restoring balance to pull the head back into alignment with the spine, reducing discomfort.

Getting healthy doesn’t have to be over complicated and stressful. In fact, it should be the exact opposite. Putting together a well balanced plan that fits your lifestyle and goals so that it is sustainable is key.

Day One or One Day…the choice is yours.

We have all kinds of excuses on not putting the time and effort into getting healthy.
-I don’t have time
-I’ll start next week/after the holidays
-Hiring a health coach/personal trainer is too expensive
-Cooking non-processed, nutrient dense meals takes too long
-Eating healthy is too expensive

Truth be told, all of these may be correct but your body is just like your car. If you keep putting off regular maintenance or repairs, eventually it’s going to break down and then you don’t have the option but to take the time or spend the money to fix it. You can either spend the time and money up front, and potentially avoid the breakdown or you can wait for the breakdown and end up spending twice the time and money fixing the problem. The choice is yours.

If you want to treat the symptoms, take the pills. If you want to fix the root cause, change your lifestyle.

In today’s convenience-driven world, changing your lifestyle is anything but easy. It’s tough, time-consuming, and intimidating, with fears of failure, social pressure, and more. But the alternative is a life of illness and feeling miserable daily.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Yes, it’s a challenge, but a healthier, happier you is worth it. People depend on you. So, let’s choose health over convenience and take that first step. Your future self will thank you. You are your own health advocate. Take control and reclaim your life.
