Noonys ESLF Support Squad was created in hopes to not only spread awareness for Liver Disease, but also to help Noony pay for medical, travel, lodging and food expenses for her future Liver Transplant and Recovery at UNC Chapel Hill, NC. She needs to travel to Greenville every 10 days for paracentesis treatments and is currently being evaluated for a liver transplant at UNC Chapel Hill. Unfortunately, she is only eligible for a living donor transplant from family or friends she has known for at least a year, as she does not qualify for a deceased donor and her son isn't approved for donation and her daughter is currently inquiring but 95% wont be able to due to her own health issues. She has been the rock and foundation holding our family together over the last 15 yrs with her 1st grandson Joseph being a micro-preemie in '09, her 2nd grandson David being diagnosed with a rare brain cancer Extra Ventricular Neurocytoma in '14, her son-in-law Devon (David's father in the USMC) being diagnosed with a brain tumor 2 months after David, resulting in Devon's passing in '16 of Glioblastoma Brain Cancer that grew into his brain stem after resection for biopsy, her oldest son Ryan passing in '18 due to a heart attack, then David being diagnosed with Syringomyelia of the spine in '22 with current follow-up MRIs of spine and brain, and now finding out she has ESLF after being diagnosed with Fatty Liver Disease in '13 and never being informed so she can have preventive care. The toxins from her liver not processing fluids and building in her abdomen is now affecting her brain and causing severe confusion and restricts her from daily tasks and driving.
