In this work, we often talk about settling the body down, overcoming resistance, and sitting with discomfort long enough to find out what’s on the other side.

When you have a dream or vision that makes you uncomfortable or fearful, there’s a strong inclination to run away – or quit. You could see this as a habitual response; another way the body tries to arouse and evoke a reaction.

Many times, when you’re in a dream state – where the body is asleep, but the mind is relaxed and awake – the door to the subconscious is wide open. Information easily flows in and out of our subconscious mind, bringing memories and experiences that tend to have high emotional charges. Why? Because that’s what’s stored in the body – when it’s been conditioned to be the mind.

If you give in to fear during these highly charged events, and react with a strong emotion, that’s a conditioned response. You’re feeding and fueling the same patterned reactions that keep you in the known past – because those emotions are a record of the past.

But when you give your energy to the fear, reaction, or entity that scares you, you never get to the point of transforming that energy into something else. Those thoughts harvest your energy, looming in your imagination and emotional reality – and interfering with your ability to move past them.

But if you can learn to sit with the discomfort and overcome it … if you can refrain from judging the experience as “good” or “bad” … a whole new world opens up for you.

What I took pre & post baby ~
In the last trimester of pregnancy iron reserves start getting depleted. Ferrasorb & beef liver were a game changer in bringing my levels back up. My midwife was very impressed. 😏
Postpartum was an entire trip & a half. Prioritizing nutrition for myself was a huge challenge & I’m so grateful for supplements that covered some bases. For breastfeeding moms there’s an extra layer of what’s safe for consumption & what helps or hurts milk supply. The highs of being a new mom are unmatched but the lows I found harder than ever to work through. ASK FOR HELP. Moringa & Ashwaganda was what worked for me.
Moringa is an Ayurvedic that not only stabilizes mood but increases milk supply. Ashwaganda, IYKYK, mood stabilizing, adrenal support, on & on. (DO NOT TAKE WHILE PREGNANT)
I also consumed placenta capsules right away & continued the tincture as needed. Chinese medicine is all about it.

For baby ~
Very much supplemental for a breastfed baby. We keep a probiotic, Vit-D, & pulsatilla on hand when we’re going to be around lots of people, the household is a little under the weather or we have some shots coming up. Pulsatilla is a homeopathic that both my kids take like candy at any sign of a cough. When it comes to VAXing I’m neither for or against. I think everyone is different & moms instincts is always on. That being said I think the VAX schedule for babies is bonkers & there’s no reason it can’t be spaced out.. I’m raising a farm baby so there were some I felt important to get asap. The week prior to getting poked we did vit D & probiotics daily & experienced zero side effects.

This is all personal experience & as always consult your healthcare provider. Or make me your healthcare provider. 😉

Shout out throne for being my go to brand for most everything & also perfect supplements for indulging my hippie homesteader outlook on health.

A reintroduction of sorts..

It’s been a long time Instagram.. like grew, birthed & raised a baby to a toddler long.
If you’re still here, thank you. If you’re new here, welcome. I’m grateful.

Grateful to have had an extremely healthy & easy pregnancy, grateful to see the other side of PPD & grateful I have such a fulfilling career

I am still seeing patients Mondays & Fridays (call to book)
I am still living this medicine in my day to day life
& I am still learning & perfecting my craft as an acupuncturist.
Home life has taken the front seat for the last year + but in that I’ve also fallen back on this medicine time & time again & it deserves to be shared.

My goal is to show up on this platform consistently.
To share practical tools to optimize health for you & your family.

Some new avenues I’m pursuing:
Children’s wellness packages for kiddos 8 years & under
Qigong via zoom
If either interest you DM NEW for more information
