Fear is a Liar
On August 23rd the Evans Family was told that Eddie, husband and father of 3, was in end stage liver failure. The family was told Eddie would need a liver transplant, while trying to figure out how to navigate this prognosis, Eddie was admitted to the hospital on October 7th with dangerously low sodium levels. Unfortunately the prognosis got worse over the next several days. Palliative care was advised by hospice. As you can imagine this became a very fearful time for Eddie’s wife, Monica and the rest of the family. However, Monica, after lots of pray and consulting the family, decided they were not going to let fear stand in their way; they were going to fight. After more prayers and nagging the doctors, Eddie’s labs were sent to the Univeristy of Cincinnati and he was excepted the Liver Transplant Program. On October 29th Eddie was transferred to UC Medical Center, and on November 6th Eddie’s transplant was completed. His body has successfully accepted the transplant, and he is getting stronger every day. PRAISE GOD!!!
During this time however, Eddie, a full time police officer of 23 years has been unable to work and Monica hasn't been able to work much since Oct 7th; she will not be able to return until sometime after the 1st of the year.
