Welcome to Silver Poppy Birth Services! I am Tessa, mom of two living in Northeast Missouri and professional doula. Experiencing my first pregnancy and birth during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic opened my eyes in a unique way to the truth of childbirth and maternal care in America, and ignited a passion for supporting mothers in the most profound and vulnerable moments of their lives. Through life’s twists and turns, I continued educating myself on evidence based birth practices and finally in 2025, I was able to complete my professional doula training. 2026 is the year I am taking the plunge and pursuing this calling full time. So if you are an expecting mom in NEMO or the St. Louis area, interested in pregnancy and childbirth support and in depth education, please follow along or reach out!
