My mom had surgery on her ankle yesterday to remove the metal plate and screws she received last year when she dislocated and broke her ankle in three places. The lower screw was irritating her skin as it was too closed to the bone and she kept getting abscesses. Now hopefully she will not have any more problems. I didn't post earlier because we weren't even sure she would be cleared for surgery given all her heart issues of the past. All is well. She didn't have any problems with the light anesthesia.

I was able to get out of the house and go for a walk in the reservoir today. It was muddy walking on the trails, but I enjoyed it.
