Starting up my breath work practice again. I am so blessed to do this work for the last 15 years. So many of us are really good at giving to others, and we don’t have a clue how to give ourselves what we really need. Let us show ourselves love and compassion. Let us stop trying to be who or what we think we should be. Learn to surrender to the beautiful soul within ourselves that is already unique and everything we need to be. Let us let that part shine!!
This Breathwork practice allows us to process and heal old trauma, in a safe setting that you probably have not experienced before. We want to break down walls that disconnect you from yourself and others. Become responsible for your own life and the choices you make. . It helped me move from living in my head (which was keeping me stuck and separate from others) to a deeper connection to the wisdom in my body.
Through this breathing work my heart has expanded, and I know I’m vibrating at a different frequency because my life and my relationship to it has dramatically shifted. The breath opened up parts of me I was afraid of and made me feel safe to be with the pain. It allowed me to purge stuck energy and deep pain stored in my body for my lifetime .
Healing is a messy business, we all need to look at all of ourselves, dark and light. And embrace it, it is all us! Bring an intention for what you want to bring in or let go of.
We will gather in a circle explain what may happen, and begin this 2-part breathing keeping you conscious for 15-25 minutes. We raise the energy together (literally vibration) and then you get to relax and take a mind journey that is different every time you do it. We will do some light energizing exercises, so wear loose clothing. We will set an intention for our practice. Bring a mat to lay on and maybe a blanket to cover yourself with.

A lot of what we learn on the Mat in class is not talked about as tools or as something that helps us off the Mat. We just know we feel better after a class. But let’s try to expand on that.
One easy way is to look at “noticing” while you practice. Notice your mood, notice your mind, what is it doing? Notice your love or lack of love for yourself. Notice your self-confidence in class. Notice how you concentrate on your breath or not? No judgments just notice. So, you practice noticing on the Mat for a few weeks.

What happens next is your “Notice Muscle” starts working off the Mat. You notice when you are not breathing when something difficult happens. “Wow, I am holding my breath!” You notice when you barge through someone’s path and notice how you feel about that instead of being ignorant about what you just did. These are gifts, Siddhis. This noticing leads to sympathy for others which leads to empathy which leads to compassion. The path to empathy and compassion leads to love for yourself. Which leads to loving kindness for all, another siddhi.
Your intuition may improve not because it wasn’t there in the first place but now you have learned to Pay attention, to Notice, to hear what the universe is telling you. Keep that notice tool alive and well! https:// mahadeva-das.yoga/

As yogi’s, we think of life in terms of Balance. We use the environment to accomplish this - the Elements, Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space
The Earth is the mother, Giam, the source of vibration. Connect to her. Go sit on her. Touch the earth.
The water element is represented by the feminine, by softness, by nurturing, it is the moon. Feel her pour over you in your shower.
The fire element is represented by effort, by strength, the sun. Make your posture strong and at the same time have some water in them
The air element is the breath, represented by creativity, energy and the source of prana. Prana is what gives us life- it is the force, as in “use the Force, young Skywalker”. Breathe deeply into the Belly, feel what the ujjayi breath does to your attitude.
The space Element is that which is in between all matter, it is the infinite, it allows us to have communion with the universe. Allow yourself to slow down and pause, look at things, be still.
Yoga, through posture, steady practice, breath work, and meditation brings awareness and balance to all these elements within in our bodies, minds, and emotions.
When we achieve this balance, we reduce suffering and increase joy through what we call being in the flow, the Ritam. In-other-words we attain what we desire in life.
Start your day with a ritual that brings you into balance. And fill your life with gratitude and joy.
