Studio update:
Thankfully the studio did not receive any damage from the storm! I
checked the studio at 11am today (Friday) and still no power. I will be checking
periodically between now and 10pm and then again in the early morning to see if
the situation has changed.
The bottom line is we WILL BE HAVING CLASS even if the power is still down.
So, in addition to your mat, towel and water if you want, you can bring a battery
powered lantern to put by your space
I will be posting any updates on Facebook and Instagram in regard to the heat.
We are grateful the storm wasn't as bad as predicted but we also know some of
our tribe may have been hit hard. Please reach out to us if there us anything we
can do to help.

There goes my home/office/sanctuary from the world....
Me, Swee Pea💔, and GypSea Belle called this our home for 3+ years
So many memories that I'll have forever but life changes and we move on to the next chapter....

🔥In other news:
I have closed up the travelling retail Pop Ups and shut the website down, but I will still be available to do Workshops, Seminars and Teacher Development Coaching. I have also become the manager at 🌞Endless Summer Hot Yoga 🌞 so I'll be living here in Venice FL and travelling occasionally for work .

I am so happy and grateful to be back here in Venice near some of things I love most in the world 💜

The Final Update to this journey....🥳

💜Thanks everyone for your messages and questions these past few months!
It's been just about 6 months since I took my first class after a total hip replacement and I have to say no one is more amazed than I am at how things are going 🤩

Some observations:

1-I am convinced more than ever that the yoga I teach and practice is the reason!! I used 90 minute Bikram Yoga as my PT exclusively. (*while I did do a handful of 60 min classes I KNOW the difference) I did minimum 3 classes a week, usually 4, but I noticed the biggest changes happened when I was able to practice 5+ times p/wk for a 4 week stretch in Feb/March.

2- I saw the Ortho Surgeon at the end of March for a check up. I still have some numbness/tingling in my left quad (normal- may fade away over time). But that's it! He said my progress is so good I don't have to go back 😁

3- Since Nov I have had to "start from scratch" and I can't tell you how much that has changed things up for me- Definetly stronger in postures! Learning how to "slowly, gently" control my range of motion and support the joints fully has changed the shape of my practice as well as my body.

"In a recent randomized control trial, Harvard Medical School researchers randomly assigned 65 adults with moderate-to-severe depression into two groups. One group of people was expected to attend two, 90-minute Bikram yoga classes per week for eight weeks at local yoga studios. The other group was placed on a waiting list for eight weeks. Even if people averaged only one yoga class per week, they significantly reduced depression symptoms by the end of the study. Nearly 60% of participants experienced a 50% reduction in symptoms, and 44% were considered to be in remission."

What the heck is a Pop Up HOT Shop?

It started out as an idea to bring high quality fitness clothes and gear to studios that offer HOT practices. Every Pop Up HOT Shop I did I was always asked if I was "online". Well, if you’ve ever Shopped HOT then you know that I carry a huge variety of inventory BUT I do not carry the same thing over and over in all sizes and patterns… BORING!!! From the different vendors I sell I carefully choose pieces that I feel complement each other and, more importantly, YOU.

I am very particular about the brands I carry. Right now I have 6 clothing lines, 2 Mat towels, and assorted small accessories. For the most part, the owner/designers of these companies are HOT Yogis too (HOTTIES🔥) so they really understand what is required from the gear we use. Another thing that is very important to me is how/where my gear comes from. ALL of the companies I deal with are in the United States and 9 are made right here in the 🇺🇸 USA.
