Camarillo Amber's Light Lions Club

Camarillo Amber's Light Lions Club The Club is currently meeting at 5:30PM at the Camarillo Community Center, 1605 Burnley St, Room 6 on the second and fourth Mondays of the month.

Club members work together in service to our community, supporting organizations in the areas of Hunger, Vision/Hearing/Disabilities, Seniors, Youth, Pediatric Cancer, Diabetes, and the Environment. We welcome visitors and prospective members. Lions Club International is the world’s largest service organization with more than 1.3 million members in more than 200 countries. Since 1917, Lions Clubs

have aided the blind and visually impaired and made a strong commitment to community service and serving youth throughout the world.

Today, we teamed up with ReMax to host a shred and recycling event. We collected 400+ pairs of eyeglasses, hearing aids and a bunch of used batteries for recycling, keeping them out of the landfills!

The Amber's Light Lions senior committee hosted a dance recital for the Health Care District at the Adult Day Center on March 5. Ashley Guske, owner and dance teacher and 10 little dancers came from Dance Alliance in Camarillo. The audience gave cute little gifts to each of the dancers. Ashley was presented with flowers and a gift from Amber's Light.

Congratulations to Ryan Gonzales, the winner of our club level Student Speaker contest with the topic of “Youth Mental Health: Overcoming Barriers to Well Being”.

The Zone Level Student Speaker’s Contest will be held on Friday, 13 March, at the Camarillo Boys and Girls Club. Doors close for entry at 6:30 PM. Our Zone includes clubs from Camarillo, Conejo Valley, Los Angeles Mid-Valley, Palmdale, and Santa Paula.
