La Belle Vie or “The Beautiful Life” is exactly what we hope to inspire in everything we do.
As a Christian company, we work with clients on their physical, mental and spiritual health because they are all interconnected and can lead to dysfunction. As a Christian company, we work with clients on their physical health but also their mental and spiritual as well because they are all interconnected and can lead to dysfunction. We combine functional nutrition and fitness training to help women of all ages balance their hormones for healthier menstrual cycles, pre & post menopause, fertility, and support before, during, and after pregnancy.
At La Belle Vie, illness and injury risk reduction are brought to you to discourage further decline and premature aging. We want YOU to be able to take charge of your own health & fitness through simple, functional practices that incorporate your individual biochemistry as well as cultivating your mental and spiritual health. PREVENTION is our motto, and we hold firmly to that in all our services. Our programs focus a lot of effort into healing the Gut (which is the foundation of overall health), balancing hormones, and lowering inflammation to prevent illnesses and further decline. As artists, we look at the bigger picture; where we want a client to end up based on their big-picture goals. As they go through a program, these goals are fine-tuned, altered, and made more specific to achieve that larger goal. Things are never black and white; they evolve with the client as they learn their own strengths and weaknesses. And then the work of art that is that client unfolds slowly, revealing everything they have been working so hard to create - a masterpiece. If you are ready to take charge of your health and fitness, healing your hormones and body, take a look at all of our specialized services to see what we offer. You can also book a FREE consultation if you are not quite sure where to begin, just contact us. Amanda will take your intake form to see which program is the best fit for you.

Tickets are now on sale! We're so excited to celebrate the Christmas season in the most classic, ballet style!
These 6 tips can take you from an okay dancer, to a strong, confident, healthy one -
1. Your rest days are part of proper training. Pushing too hard, too fast, or both doesn't help you get stronger; it slowly breaks down your body.
2. Recognize your limits & appreciate your anatomical differences. Every person is built different & sometimes your anatomy (aka bone structure) will set limits for you.
3. Weight training & cross training are 🔑. I think we can all agree that the notion that light weight training makes dancers bulky has been debunked. Strength will keep you in the game much longer & provide for healthier retirement.
4. Pain is your body's warning to stop! Listen to the signals because stopping isn't weakness. Remember, full recovery takes much longer than dealing with pain at the start.
5. Sometimes going back to the basics helps establish firmer technical foundations. I know the advanced combinations are fun, but the basics lead you there. Be patient...you'll get there.
6. Toxic classrooms are not okay. Feeling safe in the classroom is important for building a healthy relationship with dance but also with yourself. Find a space that gives you joy & makes you feel safe both for your physical health & mental health.

Throwing dancers who are just starting pointe into jumping, turning, and going across the floor is dangerous. It doesn't matter how ready they are or how strong they are, pointe is still new to them.
Hopping and springing onto the box doesn't 1. properly break in their shoes, 2. teach them how to actually get over the box, or 3. teach them control. It's cheating.
Whereas rolling through the shoes
🩰 works the parts of the foot including achieving a proper demi
🩰 works the ankles, strengthening them and teaching control
🩰 teaches FULL BODY control
🩰 breaks in the shoes correctly to avoid imbalances
🩰 teaches patience
Before doing the "fancy" stuff that could potentially cause damage and bad habits, start slow and methodically. Besides, it gives students something to work toward. They get to look forward to coming in the center as they achieve proper muscular facilitation, posture, and balance.

How's everyone's dance year going?
We've been having lots of fun breaking down new, more challenging routines as well as incorporating slow movement at the barre. The differences between how these ladies danced before vs now is night & day. It's only been 3 weeks and I'm thrilled with the amount of improvement I see. It's going to be a fabulous year!

La Belle Vie Fitness & Dance began in a homeschool co-op in a small room at Laurel Church of the Nazarene when I decided I wanted to try and teach ballet. After the semester was over, a couple of the mothers asked if I would be teaching ballet again the next year. As requests for a structured, faith-based dance studio increased, I decided to open my own. At 19, I rented a building in Delmar and called it, Praise Him with a Dance.
For two years, God blessed me with precious young children to teach until he changed my path slightly and Praise Him with a Dance closed its doors. I pursued my Personal Training certification through NCSF (National Council of Strength & Fitness) while still receiving questions from mothers who needed a Christian dance studio for their children. God laid it on my heart to re-open a dance studio, but this time to open it to both of my passions.
Dance is something I have always been passionate about. I've been dancing since I was 4 years old and can't imagine not having it in my life. Sharing my love of dance with others has brought me such joy and I am so thankful for the opportunity to share my love of dance and my love of my heavenly Father with children of all ages. I trained with DDC (Delaware Dance Company) and InSync Dance. I was very blessed to have been a part of various classical ballets such as Swan Lake, Paquita, Coppelia, La Bayadere, and Don Quixote.
Fitness is also a great passion of mine as I want everyone to feel that they are capable of anything. Health and medicine have always been passions of mine as I've always been inspired by my grandmother who is a Naturopathic Doctor. She has taught me so many wonderful things throughout my life and it's my absolute pleasure to use that knowledge to help my clients achieve their health and fitness goals. God has called us to be ready for whatever he puts in our path. I hope that I can be that aid for my clients to, not only grow physically stronger, but spiritually stronger as well.
My greatest desire is that everyone who walks through my doors will walk away feeling cared for, loved, and empowered not only by me but also by their heavenly Father. The moment you enter the building, you are family!
