Today, August 21 is National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day. Approximately 73,000 Americans lost their lives in 2023 to Fentanyl poisoning, and even a tiny amount can be deadly. This day is a reminder to educate, raise awareness, and take action to save lives.

What you should know:
Fentanyl is up to 50 times stronger than he**in and 100 times stronger than morphine.
It is often found in counterfeit pills and other street drugs including Ma*****na —many times without the person knowing. Just 2 milligrams (the size of a few grains of salt) can be fatal.

Carrying Naloxone (Narcan) can reverse an opioid overdose and save a life.
Talking about fentanyl can help reduce stigma and keep our loved ones safe.

Together, we can spread awareness, provide resources, and create a safer, healthier community.

will recognize National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day on Thursday, August 21, joining the hundreds of thousands of voices raising awareness to c...

This month, we remember those affected by overdoses and raise awareness about the devastating impact they have on families, communities, and lives. 💔

Did you know?

In 2022, over 100,000 people died from drug overdoses in the U.S.

Fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid, is involved in nearly 70% of all overdose deaths.

Every day, about 270 people in the U.S. die from an overdose. That's a life lost every 5 minutes.

Overdose is preventable. Simple tools like Narcan (naloxone) can reverse opioid overdoses and save lives.

Let's break the stigma, educate ourselves, and support those in need. 💪 Together, we can prevent more tragedies and work toward a brighter, healthier future. Join us on August 28th for an informative summit on Overdose and Fentanyl Awareness.
