The weather has been terrible for riding this winter. The ground is either frozen or too soft. It is a good time to spend time with your horses on the ground brushing and loving them. It is also a good time to get that spring float out of the way. Please call and set up an appointment.

Spring is here with all its green grass.
It may be time to put those grazing muzzles on. You may want to increase your riding now that it is so nice. I am here and happy to consult concerning the nutrition of your horse.

I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful spring. Please remember to vaccinate your horses and do fecals on them. They should also have their teeth checked at least once a year.
I am also happy to do a nutrition evaluation on them.

Hope everyone is enjoying their fall, we have had a few beautiful days. I am volunteering at Lift me Up what a great experience. It is amazing what horses can do for people.

I hope you all had a great summer. Fall is here and you must remember to keep vaccines and dentals up to date. There was a case of West Nile Virus in Berryville, Va so make sure your horse is up to date.
All of this rain seems to be bringing about bad cases of scratches. Try to keep pastern region as dry as possible for at least a few hours a day.

I hope everyone is out enjoying their horses. Please remember the spring grass is coming in so limit your horse's exposure to it. If they are out on it mid day is better then early morning. Wheather that stresses the grass increases the bad sugars which increases your risk of founder. Please remember your spring vaccines!!
