ADVENTURE (new on the blog)
We have this one precious life. How are you living it? I like to think I find ways to carve out as much love, joy, and adventure as possible in each and every day because all we really have is the present moment…
Still, there’s something to be said for looking forward to adventure or evaluating past experiences - I love the excitement of planning and the warmth of fond memories. As I reflect on the last year, I’m so grateful for the wonderful travel, wins, lessons learned, and growth.
In 2024, I found myself laser focused on my dear friends, motherhood, work, my community, and my faith. The year was full of blessings and my heart is full. As a February birthday, I am turning the page on my own personal year and can’t help but feel full of hope for a bright future.
It’s also around this time of year, with the promise of spring, that I start to define personal goals for the new year. (Better late than never…)
In addition to Banks & Beach, I’ve spent the past year as the USA Sales Agent for Fieldbar. Anyone who is close to me knows that this was a dream YEARS in the making and I am simply over the moon to have developed US distribution for this incredible Cape Town-based business. I am also beyond excited for the work ahead of me this year.
As it relates to motherhood, I’m so proud of the path I’ve walked as a mom. Being in the company of my son is a complete joy - he is kind, brave, always up for adventure, and truly my greatest teacher. I strive to continue supporting his development so he can grow into an emotionally intelligent and worldly young man.
Somehow, I’m surrounded by the most incredible people and I hope to continue to serve and grow my friendships in the year to come. I’m extraordinary grateful for the people who have influenced my life along the way and wish to pay it forward through kindness and mentorship in the future.
What continues to resonate with me is adventure. I want more of it this year. I aim to take more risks, claim my one beautiful life, and find all the love and joy meant for me while adding as much as I can to the world. I hope you do too.
