✨ Hearts Behind the Light: Meet Kara ✨

As an Administrative Assistant at Lighthouse, Kara plays an important role in connecting clients with clinicians who can offer healing, support, and hope. She loves being part of those first steps, helping people find the right fit for their care journey.

Kara hopes every client feels loved, welcomed, and validated from the very first interaction. She believes that feeling safe and seen matters just as much as the services themselves.

One of her greatest strengths is bringing organization and structure to the team, helping things run smoothly so clients and clinicians can stay focused on what matters most: healing and connection.

After a busy day, Kara resets by reading and playing games with her family 📚🎲

Something that might surprise you? She has traveled all over the world and has lived on three different continents ✈️🌍

And one thing she wishes more people understood: insurance coverage is something we don’t control, and if it were up to her, mental health care would be fully covered for everyone 💛

✨ Hearts Behind the Light: Meet Victoria ✨

Victoria has a heart for walking alongside teens and adults as they navigate trauma, dissociation, and spiritual concerns, creating space for healing, growth, and deeper understanding.

She loves using Strengths-Based Therapy to encourage and empower her clients, along with Internal Family Systems (IFS) to gently explore and make sense of their inner world.

Outside of the office, you’ll likely find her soaking up time in nature, whether that’s a peaceful walk or a scenic hike 🏞🌳

Fun fact: If she wasn’t a counselor, Victoria would be a barista ☕️ She loves coffee and the art behind a perfectly crafted latte 😄

A verse that grounds her:
“Ephesians 3:16–19” A reminder of the depth, fullness, and endless nature of God’s love. It’s a truth she carries with her and prays over often ❤️

✨ Hearts Behind the Light: Meet Dannie ✨

Dannie loves working with neurodivergent individuals of all ages, especially children, creating a space where differences are honored and strengths are highlighted. Their approach blends Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), with a touch of humanistic care to support the whole person, not just the problem.

Outside of sessions, you’ll likely find Dannie curled up with a high fantasy novel 📚 or dreaming of writing one of their own someday. And if life called for a different path, they’d still be in the world of behavior and support as a BCBA.

✨ Hearts Behind the Light: Meet Ashton, LPC ✨

Ashton has a heart for supporting new moms and children, walking alongside families as they navigate the challenges and joys of early parenthood. Using a Person-Centered approach, she creates a warm, supportive space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to grow.

When she’s not in session, Ashton enjoys going to the gym, prioritizing movement and self-care. If she weren’t a counselor, she says she would likely be a teacher or life coach, continuing her passion for guiding and encouraging others.

Her favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” ✨

Molly is passionate about supporting individuals navigating addictions and sexual trauma recovery, using approaches like Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy to empower clients toward meaningful change.

When she’s not in the counseling room, you might find her kickboxing or spending time with highland cows, her unique way of practicing self-care! 🥊🐮

Kristine is passionate about supporting teens experiencing depression and individuals struggling with addiction, helping them rediscover hope, healing, and their God-given identity. She believes that sometimes people simply need someone to hold hope for them until they can hold it for themselves.

Her approach blends existential therapy with CBT, Narrative Therapy, ACT, and DBT, helping clients reframe their stories, build relational skills, and move toward lasting growth and joy.

Outside of counseling, she enjoys self-care moments like foot massages, relaxing baths, and meaningful time with family. She also serves as a core charge nurse on the NDT/MedPsych unit at CHKD, bringing compassion and experience to both roles.

Her guiding verse is 2 Corinthians 5:17:
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” ✨

She is currently seeing clients as a Counseling Intern with sessions available at $40 per session (self-pay, insurance not accepted).

Margo is passionate about supporting military families and children, walking alongside them with compassion, stability, and care through every season of life. Her favorite approaches, mindfulness and DBT, help clients build emotional awareness, resilience, and a sense of calm even during times of stress or transition.

When she’s not in session, you’ll often find her reading a book in the sunshine, soaking in quiet moments of rest. While she jokes she might explore interior design if she weren’t a counselor, she truly loves the meaningful work she gets to do every day.

Her heart is anchored in Psalm 91 and Isaiah 40:31: “But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar on wings like eagles… they will run and not grow weary.” 🕊️ A beautiful reflection of hope, endurance, and faith.

Christina has a heart for working with believers who feel weary, oppressed, or lost, offering compassionate care rooted in both faith and clinical insight. Through spiritually integrated CBT and DBT, she helps clients reconnect with hope, clarity, and emotional resilience.

Outside the counseling space, Christina finds renewal in taking walks, embracing moments of quiet reflection. If she weren’t a counselor, she’d be teaching, continuing her calling to guide, encourage, and build understanding in others.

One verse that grounds her work is 1 Corinthians 13:8: “Love never fails.” 💛 A simple yet powerful reminder that love remains steady, even in life’s hardest seasons.
