Pelvic Floor Tip #3: Kegel Before You Sneeze!

Sneeze coming? 🤧
Cough or laugh attack? 😂
Do a quick Kegel first! 💪

Activating your pelvic floor before pressure hits helps prevent leaks and trains your muscles to respond like a reflex. This small habit = big results over time! ✅

🧠 Think of it as your pelvic floor’s built-in defense system — give it a heads-up!

Pelvic Floor Tip #2
💥 Strong Core = Strong Pelvic Floor 💥
Your core should be like a sealed soda can — stable and strong.
When one part is weak, it “pops”… and everything collapses. 😬

To keep your core unpopped:
✅ Strengthen all four walls (abs, back, diaphragm, pelvic floor)
✅ Breathe properly during lifting/exercise
✅ Sync your core + pelvic floor when sneezing, coughing, laughing

Try beginner-friendly moves like Dead Bug and Bird Dog to get started! 🐞🐕

Memorial Day Funds Drive: Support the Wounded Warrior Project

From May 12–23, The Therapy Network is collecting donations to support the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that provides essential care and services to injured veterans.

As Memorial Day approaches, we pause to remember those who gave their lives in service—and honor the veterans who continue to carry that legacy in our community, including many of our patients and staff families.

How to Donate:
📍 Drop off cash or checks (payable to Wounded Warrior Project) at any TTN clinic
📲 Prefer digital? Scan the QR code on flyers in our clinics to donate online

Let’s stand together in remembrance—and give back to those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. 💙

Thank you for your support.

In honor of Mother’s Day, we’re shining a light on this incredible duo from TTN Kempsville—Sarah and Shyla. 💛 Sarah, our talented massage therapist, and her daughter Shyla, a dedicated physical therapy technician, bring so much warmth and care to our clinic.

We love seeing them work side by side, supporting our patients—and each other—with compassion and heart. It’s a joy to have them as part of the TTN family. 💐

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing women who nurture, lead, and inspire—today and every day. 💖

After physical therapy, Jen is back to doing what matters most—spending time with her family. ❤️
She shared this photo to celebrate how far she’s come, and we’re honored to be part of her journey.

Here’s what she had to say about her experience at TTN:
“Great pace and attention to what I can and can't do. Peaceful atmosphere. Just calm, homey, and comfortable. Thank you! Plus Sam is great at explaining what I am doing—and why. I appreciate that.”
