Happy New Year from the entire Watercrest family! 🥂

We rang in 2026 with style, laughter, and incredible memories across our communities. From the annual "Noon Year’s Eve" balloon drop and shrimp cocktails at Watercrest Myrtle Beach to a magical evening of surf-and-turf and bottomless champagne at Watercrest of St. Lucie West, the celebrations were spectacular, just as expected.

The fun didn't stop there! Watercrest Winter Park celebrated with Aloma Bowling and a visit from The King himself, while Watercrest Palm Beach Gardens started the year strong with music, dancing, and fellowship on January 1st. We wish everyone a joyful year ahead! 🎉✨

“It’s ok.” might be the most understated review of the year!

At our community in Kerrville, Texas, Watercrest's Sage Park team recently introduced a new SMART Technologies Board as part of Live Exhilarated and Illuminate programming, and it instantly became the conversation starter. Like any new tech, it drew a crowd… plus a little hesitation.

Then one brave Sage Park Guadalupe resident stepped up, tapped the screen, and declared his official verdict: “It’s ok.”

But here’s the real review: he’s back at it every chance he gets!

This is what we love about Sheena Jeffries's programming: meaningful engagement that keeps curiosity alive and makes room for new experiences, together- whether we’re in a big city or a close-knit rural community.

It takes a village to create vibrant community, and we are so lucky to have incredible partners surrounding and supporting all Watercrest locations!

We want to send a shout-out to the organizations that brighten our days throughout the year, and especially during the holidays. A big thank you goes to partners like The Rotary International (The Rotary Club), Jupiter High School, Ocean Bay Middle School, Cub Scouts Pack 589, LifeCare Hospice, The Daughters of the American Revolution National Headquarters, and the many other groups who dedicate their time to us.

What a spectacular season of giving! We are incredibly proud to share that all of our communities participated in our annual Festival of Wreaths events. 🥂🎄

Across the Watercrest family, guests were treated to elegant touches like cranberry champagne cocktails and roast lamb dinners while enjoying live musical performances. We even had visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus to pose for photos near our festive trees.

Most importantly, the beautiful wreaths donated by our partners were auctioned off to support Wreaths Across America. Thank you to everyone who attended and donated to help us honor our nation's veterans!

At Watercrest, we understand that connection knows no age. ❤️

Across our communities, we are witnessing the incredible magic that happens when we bring generations together! At Sage Park Austin, our residents cherish their monthly visits to read with local students, fostering a love for storytelling and mentorship.

Meanwhile, at Pelican Landing Assisted Living and Memory Care, residents shared an afternoon with the special needs class from Wabasso School! The day's schedule was packed with crafts and carols, plus genuine friendship that touched everyone's hearts.

And throughout this holiday season, halls across Watercrest communities have been filled with music thanks to the many student choirs and youth groups visiting to sing and play for our residents. These moments of shared joy remind us of the importance behind , and we're so proud to incorporate it into Live Exhilarated programming.

Some careers start with a resume. Colby’s started with a bingo card!

We’re honored to spotlight Colby Johle, Executive Director at Sage Park Guadalupe and Regional Director of Operations for Watercrest's Sage Park communities in Texas.

Colby’s path into senior living started almost by accident (like how so many do!), bringing dinner to his wife at work and staying to play bingo. Night after night, he found himself listening to stories, and those conversations changed his perspective.

Today, that same humility and respect for each person’s story guide how Colby leads residents, families, and associates. His operational excellence and heart for older adults are a driving force behind the culture and performance of our Texas communities!

This has been a year of remarkable growth and validated excellence for the Watercrest family. We welcomed new chapters with the addition of our Sage Park communities in Texas, and we watched proudly as our locations from the Florida coast to the valleys of Virginia earned top honors from U.S. News and World Report and Great Place To Work.

But if you deeper into the plaques and the press releases, you find the real heart of our company. You see it in the resilience of neighbors weathering storms together, the generosity of the thousands of dollars raised for local charities, and the creativity sparked in our art studios and kitchens every day.

Big news from our Sage Park family in Texas... both Sage Park Austin and Sage Park San Antonio have been named among U.S. News and World Report's "Best Nursing Homes" for 2026 in the category of Short-Term Rehabilitation! ⭐️

Each community earned a “High Performing” rating, placing them among a select group of communities nationwide recognized for this level of excellence. This recognition reflects the everyday work of our associates, therapists, nurses, and support teams, who care for short-stay patients with skill and compassion, as well as the trust families place in us during a crucial period of recovery.
