CAPE Coalition Substance Misuse Awareness, Prevention and Education Coalition on the Iron Range of MN
PCN Grant Funded

The Chemical Awareness, Prevention, and Education (CAPE) Coalition is a group of professionals and community members from around the quad cities’ region working to address the entire continuum of health around substance use, from prevention through recovery. We work together to raise awareness, correct misperceptions regarding use rates, increase education, and reduce stigma that may inhibit recovery. We see the good that exists in our communities, and work to grow it.

We are so grateful for Laura and all she does for Northeast Minnesota prevention work

To those of us who know and work with Laura Bennett (Regional Prevention Coordinator with the Carlton-Cook-Lake-St. Louis CHB), this award comes as no surprise. She is generous with her wisdom, careful to make sure everyone feels they belong, and steadfast in her commitment to relationship building. We are honored to work alongside you, Laura!

The annual Minnesota-SOPHE (Minnesota Society for Public Health Education) Awards celebrate the amazing leadership, dedication, and impact of health professionals across Minnesota. The individuals recognized are people who go above and beyond to promote health and well-being in their communities.

This award was granted back in October, but it's never too late to celebrate one of our dedicated public health staff! Way to go, Laura!
