Fleas and ticks are a significant threat to our pets, which is why we implement preventative measures to keep them as safe as possible. However, rattlesnakes present an even greater danger, particularly during their peak season from April to October. For this reason, we highly recommend training your pets to recognize and steer clear of the sight, scent, and sound of rattlesnakes. This training is not only quick, safe, and highly effective, it also only costs $95, less than what you'd spend on your dog's annual flea and tick medication.

Instilling the right way for your dog to greet you and others is an essential skill to teach your puppy early on, but it can be taught to your teenagers and adult dogs too. We usually get an enthusiastic volunteer in class for "jumping" when Kate demonstrates the power of waiting out your puppy to make the right choice when greeting you. She lets them experiment, bounce, and jump up until they realize that nothing is happening from these attempts. No engagement, no excitement, no knees, or turning her back on them, just lots of wasted energy on their part. At most, she might calmly ask, "How's that working for you?". The moment the puppy places all four paws on the ground, she marks this behavior with her marker word, “YES!”, then rewards them with a tasty treat and lots of praise. Lather, rinse, and repeat. Waiting for your dog to make the correct choice can be the most challenging part for us humans, but it teaches your dog valuable default behaviors and manners. Additionally, it helps build their confidence. It’s truly a win-win-win situation!
