What Can Functional Medicine Do for Our Patients?
Many people hear “functional medicine” and aren’t quite sure what that means. Simply put, we look at the body as one whole, connected system.
When someone comes in with fatigue, skin issues, hormone imbalance, or chronic symptoms, we don’t just treat one lab value. We look deeper. Diet. Stress. Gut health. Toxins. Hormones. Infections. We work to identify and address the root cause, not just manage symptoms.
One recent patient came to us with severe psoriasis that had taken over her face and body. She had tried multiple conventional treatments and was being advised to start long-term immune-suppressing medications. Instead, we dug deeper.
Through advanced testing, we uncovered gut bacterial imbalance, mold exposure, and significant yeast overgrowth. By addressing those underlying issues, her skin has dramatically improved and she’s not dependent on lifelong medications.
This is what root-cause care can look like.
If you’re curious about functional medicine or wondering if it may be right for you, our team is always here to help. 🤍
