SunnyDays Therapy Occupational & Speech Therapy
Albertville, Chanhassen, Edina, Maple Grove, Minnetonka, Monticello, Waconia

SunnyDays Therapy was established to provide pediatric Occupational and Speech therapy to help infants, toddlers, children and young adults with a variety of diagnoses and needs achieve milestones, independence and confidence in their play, self-help, social, motor, cognitive, feeding and eating, sensory skills and speech and language skills. SunnyDays Therapy strives to help children reach their maximum potential by using a variety of techniques and approaches in a fun and motivating learning environment that is unique to each individual. After meeting you and your child, we develop a specialized treatment plan that will cater to your child's needs. Our team is trained to develop optimal teaching methods for your child based on their personality and unique needs. Goal areas that are often targeted include self care skills such as dressing, tying shoes, brushing teeth, washing face, bathing/showering, combing hair, feeding, and a variety of other self help and grooming skills. Fine motor skills are also addressed, including developing strength and coordination in hands for grasp, writing, coloring, drawing, playing, and cutting. Gross motor skills often include jumping, running, hopping, crawling, rolling, climbing, catching and throwing, and riding a tricycle or bike. Sensory integration issues are also addressed, and sensory diets may be established for your child, based on their needs. Our team understands that each child and their family is unique. Each child is different, but our years of hands-on experience has provided us with the skills and resources needed to teach your child to function at his or her most optimal level.

You’ve got a third player for Ninja Cat Cucumber Attack!

Card games like this are a great way to work on executive functioning skills, social skills, and sometimes… just serve as a really fun incentive to keep kids engaged and motivated.

Bring on the spring colors and patterns!

Structured crafts are such a fun and creative way to work on important executive functioning skills like planning, sequencing, and time management — all while making something kids are proud of.

Learning + creativity = a pretty great combo!

Was this therapist playing an April Fool’s joke?? 😄

It would’ve been a pretty good one… but this was actually a creative way to work on feeding skills!

Three different flavors of applesauce — all made to look the same — turned into a fun “guessing game” to encourage trying new foods and exploring taste in a low-pressure way.

Can you guess which flavor is which when they all look identical? 👀

We love turning simple ideas into meaningful, engaging experiences for our kids.

Cuteness? Maybe a lot 🧡

Bringing March Madness energy into the clinic with movement, teamwork, and lots of fun!

Our Edina team celebrated Sports Week last week, bringing the energy and fun of the NCAA tournaments right into the clinic!

Some of our team recently attended The Sensory Project Experience alongside Mel, the event coordinator. Our team was so grateful for the opportunity to rest, recharge, and reconnect, while learning new ways to support others.

Through guided meditation, breathwork, and wellness practices, they explored tools to better understand and respond to sensory needs — both for themselves and for the families we serve.

The Sensory Project is a movement dedicated to transforming how we approach sensory processing, offering training, resources, and practical strategies for professionals, children, and families.

We recently wrapped up a fieldwork rotation with Emma, and we feel so lucky to have had her at our Maple Grove clinic.

During her final week, Emma shared her project with the team, on supporting emotional regulation in caregivers and children — a topic that reflects both her thoughtfulness and the heart she brings into her work.

From her very first day, she showed a willingness to learn, grow, and jump right in. It’s been so special to watch her confidence build over time. The kids loved her, and our team truly enjoyed getting to support her along the way.

Wishing you all the best, Emma — you’re going to do amazing things!

Bubblrs, snacks, homemade brownies… and this AMAZING team!

We celebrated Employee Appreciation Week recently, and while the treats were fun (and quickly disappeared 😄), what really stood out was just getting to pause and enjoy being together.

This team brings so much heart, energy, and care into everything they do — for our kids, our families, and each other.

Just feeling really grateful for this group.

Sometimes the smallest moments feel the most meaningful. ☀️

A parent shared this beautiful photo of the sun shining above our Monticello clinic — and we couldn’t help but smile at how perfectly it reflects SunnyDays.

The sunshine may be making its way back with the season, but the real brightness comes from the families we serve every day. Your trust, kindness, and partnership are what truly light up our clinic.

Thank you for sharing this moment with us — it feels pretty special.

A full-circle moment!

From early language goals… to speech sounds… to this moment right here ✨

This incredible kiddo has been working hard, growing, and showing up session after session — and today, she’s officially a speech therapy graduate! 🎉

What makes this moment even more special is the relationship built along the way. Having Miss Natalie by her side through her entire journey created trust, consistency, and so many meaningful milestones.

We are beyond proud of her dedication, perseverance, and all the progress she’s made. Watching her confidence grow has been such a joy.

You did it — and we couldn’t be more proud of you!
