Have you felt like a part of your life is out of whack? 🙋🏽‍♀️Maybe your relationships could use some TLC, or you want to improve your physical health. Is your spiritual life lacking? Could your self-talk be a little kinder?🌟

One of the aspects I love most about being a wellness coach is connecting with other women who want to explore these types of questions and seek to make small changes in their lives.

I was thrilled to be on the podcast this week, where I talked about holistic wellness and why it's vital to consider your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health to live a better life. I shared parts of my own story, and a few practical steps you can take today.

It's all about the journey, friends - not the destination and definitely not about perfection. It's my hope that this episode encourages you - I'd be so honored if you give it a listen🥰🙏🏼

Celebrating every single beautiful, strong, inspiring, loving, worthy, brilliant, creative, fierce, powerful, independent woman walking around on this great big planet of ours✨May we always jump high, reach for what’s ours, shatter ceilings, raise our voices, continue expanding, growing, and glowing. Happy International Women’s Day, my magnificent sisters 👯‍♀️

Amazing women surround me.

They're my family members. Friends and soul sisters. Mentors, coaches, and the beautiful clients I get to meet with. They're the movers and shakers, overcomers, and light-bearers.

They are all of this and so much more. And yet, a core belief still worms its way into our conversations and psyches that causes us to doubt our worth. It tries to tempt us with the idea that we aren't enough. We think we need to become more than we already before we deserve to love ourselves as we are.

Now, I'm all for inward growth and obtaining new heights, for seeking wholeness, and for allowing our Creator to heal the broken and worn-out places of our minds, bodies, and souls so we can live to our fullest potential. I'm a proponent of these things, and I try to do these things.

And yet...it's a bold move to believe that—stripped of any upward mobility, doing more, or attempting to become more—we are already enough, just as we are.

We can love ourselves AND still desire to grow. May you know this and live it wholeheartedly 🤍 🌱

✨Is journaling a part of your soul care practice?

If it is, or if you're curious about why journaling might be beneficial, I have a little gift for you 👇🏽

Often, when we're trying to figure things out, and we're asking ourselves essential questions, like:
{What do I value?}
{How am I making time in my life for those people or things?}
{How do I wish I felt physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, relationally?}
{What would my life look like if I were at my healthiest and happiest?}
{How do I get there?}
we're searching for clarity and a way to connect the dots.

Journaling is a tool to help us unlock and catalog our becoming. It's a foundational part of soul care because we're re-aligning with our values and priorities as we reflect, process, and write it all down. Journaling can lead us in new directions and help us discover aspects of ourselves that lay hidden. It allows us to capture and record what we sense our Creator and our truest selves are saying, to look back over our lives, and visibly see the transformation and growth that's taking place 🌱

I love to journal, and I love to give to others, so here's my 🎁 for FIVE women on this day of LOVE:

Happy L💛VE Day, Beautiful Ones, today and everyday ❤️

For most of my adult life, I abused, neglected, badmouthed, overworked, and shamed my body.

Some of the shaming sounded like an extension of the voices of old boyfriends who told me I'd be hotter if I had larger breasts and curvier curves. Other parts of my body shaming were ingrained in me, passed down generationally by family members who viewed their bodies through a skewed lens. Some of it was residual effects from trauma that had been inflicted, while other parts were my own bent toward an elusive quest for bodily perfection.

If you haven't always had the best relationship with your body, you have all my compassion and love as I'm right there with you. While the intensity of my body bullying has varied, the truth is, I still struggle with how I talk to my body some days.

But what I'm learning along the way is that rewriting my personal body image narrative takes time and intentional effort to dismantle ingrained messages. But making small changes in my language is paying powerful dividends and changing me from the inside out. Not to mention, befriending and blessing my body is a heck of a lot more fun than ripping it to shreds.

Here are a few things that are helping me on my body-love journey:
✅ Taking one body part at a time and loving it to pieces. This includes affirming it out loud every time I walk past the mirror, even when I feel like a phony 🗣
✅ Writing a letter to my body and thanking it for all the ways it has enabled me to experience the fullness of life. After all, this body has allowed me to travel overseas, birth babes, climb trees, bury my toes in the sand, and overcome addiction. She has been loyal to me even when I wasn't loyal to her.
✅ Focusing on what is rather than what isn't.
✅ Trauma therapy, somatic experiencing therapy, IFS therapy.

No matter where you are on your journey, I hope you have grace and compassion for yourself along the way. There are countless others on the road to body-love with you, including me. And if you're up for it, please share with me some of the ways you're changing the way you view your body.🧡👇🏽

The word “ho’oponopono” roughly translates to “make things right” or to “cause things to move back to balance.” When I withhold forgiveness—toward myself or others—any semblance of inner balance and harmony is lost.

This simple yet beautifully profound Hawaiian prayer restores both🙏🏼 May this prayer be a balm to your heart too this morning, if you need it 🙏🏼

〰️Hoʻoponopono Prayer〰️
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.

I'll admit it 🙋🏽‍♀️— I'm not super great at living in the speed zone. When hustle flowed through my veins, I floundered. For me, burnout lived in my gut and manifested itself in ongoing stomach issues (allergies, , daily nausea) and a low-level hum of anxiety I couldn't shake.

In a society that equates speed and hustle with success, it can be tempting to swallow that message whole and live out it day in, day out without question.

Yes, exhibiting perseverance and grit are powerful, necessary attributes for success. But as we gain more clarity around the direction we want our lives to take and align ourselves with the values and priorities that ring true for us, we'll discover a new way of being: one that amplifies direction over speed.

It may be time to change directions and re-align if...

…you are only continuing to hustle in the current direction because this is all you know...your priorities change... you've can't remember your "why." .. it's sucking the life out of you...your body, mind, and soul are depleted, overworked, and undernourished.

Do you feel like your life is in alignment with your values? If not, what's one step you can take to change directions? I'd love to read your comments👇🏼💛
