Quick & Nutritious Breakfast for Pregnant/Postpartum Moms:

• Sourdough Bread: Complex carbs for slow, steady energy (because we all need that extra boost!).
• Avocado Spread: Healthy fats + folate = brain-boosting goodness for baby’s development.
• Eggs (Over Medium): Protein and choline to support brain health. (Just make sure the yolk is fully cooked to avoid any risks!)
• Shredded Greens: Fiber and vitamins A & C to strengthen your immune system.
• Turkey Bacon: Lean protein to fuel your body, without the extra fat.
• Quesadilla Cheese: A good source of calcium to keep bones strong. (Double-check it’s pasteurized to be safe!)

To go with it, I had:

• Mango Orange Juice: Packed with vitamin C, helping with iron absorption and boosting your immune system.
• Fennel & Red Raspberry Leaf Tea: Fennel is great for digestion and reducing bloating, and can even help boost milk supply if you’re breastfeeding. Red raspberry leaf tea is known for toning the uterus, which is a bonus during pregnancy and postpartum recovery.

Caution:

• Pregnant moms, make sure your eggs are fully cooked and that you’re using pasteurized cheese. Fennel should be consumed in moderation during pregnancy, as it may stimulate uterine contractions. Always check with your healthcare provider if you have concerns.
• Postpartum moms, this meal is great for recovery, but feel free to swap out the bread or cheese if you’re avoiding dairy or gluten.
