Brady's Place Retreat & Sober Living

We employ the immersion of the 12 step process as our main model of providing our guests with sustainable contented long term sobriety.

For nearly a century the recovery process of the 12-Steps has effectively and unquestionably transformed the lives of countless millions. Our purpose at Lake Shore Retreat is to help our guests recover from alcoholism/addiction/SUD by thorough immersion into the 12 step process as they are laid out in the big book of Alcoholics Anonymous. We here at Lake Shore Retreat believe that the 12 step process, if done honestly and thoroughly, produces a spiritual awakening that removes the mental obsession to drink/use. We are men and women who have suffered the horrors of active addiction, found a solution and recovered from a hopeless state of mind and body. We wish to share our recovery experience with you. “Life will take on new meaning. To watch people recover, to see them help others, to watch loneliness vanish, to see a fellowship grow up about you, to have a host of friends- this is an experience you must not miss.” AA pg.87.

Sadly, today we had to say good bye to the best Brady’s resident ever.
Tuck’s service dog Wilson has been with us since 2016. He brought so much love and joy to all our residents, and never broke a house rule. We love and miss you Wilson. RIP 🙏

Happy 4 years to our brother Wylie Morris, the man you are today barely resembles the man that walked through that door 4 years ago. We love you man and Appreciate everything you continue to do for our community!

There once was a little farm that sat in a big field. Under the sun, the stars, and the moon. It was a magical place. Tended to by volunteers who loved it. Home to beautiful animals - farm and exotic. And sanctuary to families whose children suffer from cancer and other life threatening ailments. Full of laughter and love, this little farm hosts many community events, educational classes, and holiday gatherings. But, then a pandemic came. And the farm became quieter. The animals missed the visitors. The grants and funds dried up and were reallocated. But, because this farm was a magical place - loved by so many - an account was set up so all those who sat under the same sun, stars, and moon could donate and help. The above is a TRUE STORY - The Magical Moon Foundation/Magical Moon Farm, a 501c(3) nonprofit run by volunteers, is in trouble. Let’s turn this tale into one with a happy ending!! 🌜 https://www.magicalmoon.org/support/donate/ 🌛
