I turned the same handle shape in a block of purpleheart wood! The purpleheart version will be a final version of an upcoming set of floggers. The pine handle will serve as a template for future handle turnings, that way We can keep some sense of standard shaping and sizing. Purpleheart turns surprisingly easy and smoothly too, that was a super happy discovery!

The process of making something new is so fun and creative and sometimes anxiety inducing too because Y/you aren't exactly sure where the wood will take you! This is the prototype for a flogger handle that D3 Dungeons is in the process of designing. Soon floggers will be another item available for sale!!!!! It's so exciting! The very last photo shows the handle with a sheet of faux leather over one end so Y/you can get an idea of what it will all look like when the trial product is all constructed. Keep an eye out for future updates!

Here's a video showing off the final form of the claws I posted about yesterday! I like the way they fit in my hand, but some of my testers did not like how it fit in their hands, so there will have to be more trials to these little guys. Also, don't mind the music in the background, that's what I was listening to in the shop while I was busy finishing them.

Had some scrap wood hanging around the woodshop and decided to make a new design prototype with it! I call them claws. They're a great sensory tool to scratch with and use in fear play too. They can be made in different sizes! One tester even thought they could almost work as a Velociraptor claw if Y/you put it between Y/your toes. That lead to hilarious trial runs! Keep an eye out for future versions of these fun little toys, they'll come out eventually! (or Y/you might even win them in a raffle give away at one of the events D3 Dungeons hosts.
