I walk because there is always HOPE, may you find HOPE today

For this week's post is our stigma series, we are taking a moment to highlight our 12th Annual Celebration of Hope Walk đź’›

Every year we gather at the Seaside Heights Boardwalk to celebrate recovery and honor those we have lost to overdose. This event is filled with joy and remembrance. When you are on the boardwalk in the sea of yellow shirts it is clear that substance use disorder truly impacts so many people in our community, but through the energy of the crowd you can feel the barriers breaking down and the hope rising up.

If you or a loved one have been impacted by substance use disorder - you are not alone. And if you haven't been impacted, you can become a powerful ally. Together we can do INCREDIBLE things.

Join us this year on September 6th as we stand together once again!

You can support this event by purchasing a sponsorship, securing a vendor table, creating a walking team, or registering as an individual. To learn more, click the link below:

Robby, CEO of Recover Revolution just testified at the NJ State Assembly to oppose Bill A3981.

This bill would let towns block recovery homes, undoing years of progress. CSLRs save lives—reducing relapse, boosting employment, and supporting long-term recovery.

If A3981 passes, more people could die.

Call your legislators now—tell them to vote NO on A3981.

The 2024 National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR) Best Practices Summit was a four-day event held in Richmond, Virginia. We heard from an array of different speakers; including recovery house operators, representatives of government agencies, medical professionals, and researchers, among others. The breakout sessions were particularly dynamic, with many interesting ideas and valuable interactions that will help us to continue fulfilling our primary purpose: to help individuals with addiction/ Substance Use Disorder (SUD) get into — and stay in — recovery!
