Today my grandfather unfortunately is no longer with us. For 32 years, I’ve been lucky to have my grandfather in my life. At 96, he was able to be at all my milestone achievements (birthdays, graduations, and even my wedding). My grandfather always had to tell everyone he knew I was his “most successful grandchild” because I was the only person in the family with a “doctorate” degree (even though I felt like I was just a pharmacist). He definitely was the reason for me to use Dr. in front of my name because he would always tell me that “I earned it”. I am so thankful to have had my grandfather for as long I did.
