Weight loss challenge is launching soon! Some things to consider:

Self-trust is the ultimate weight maintenance skill. In some ways, it’s the ultimate life skill.⁣⁣
⁣
Of course, developing it is a life-long pursuit. It takes time and no single experiment or practice can necessarily get you there.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
However, for life-long weight maintenance (and life-long health management), you’ve got to make the transition. ⁣
⁣
You have to do things like moving from a regimented plan to facing an uncertain future without one.⁣ And that requires something big: being more flexible in your thinking and trusting yourself to course correct as needed. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
In Precision Nutrition’s latest article -- Weight loss vs weight maintenance: Why the strategies that got you results might not help you keep them) -- author Julia Malacoff shares three essential skills to develop this kind of self-trust and course correction system.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Skill #1: Shift from a place of “no” to “sometimes yes.”⁣⁣
This helps you get to know what works for you and what doesn’t. It enables you to develop healthy but flexible boundaries.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Skill #2: Reframe your habits.⁣⁣
This allows you to learn why, how, and when to tweak or evolve your health habits to fit your current needs and goals.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Skill #3: Use your deep reason for motivation.⁣⁣
This keeps you constantly grounded in the reason behind it all—your “why” for even caring about this stuff in the first place

Microwaves seem like a convenient tool to cook or reheat your food, but using one is just as bad as charring your food
Microwaving your food also kills the nutrients and beneficial compounds you are trying to consume, turning those "healthy" vegetables into mushy pieces of fiber with little nutritional value
While microwaves are legal and commonly used in the U.S., many countries ban them. Microwaves use radiation. In 2011, the World Health Organization suggested radiation is a class 2B cancer-causing carcinogen
Upgrading your diet heavily revolves around reducing inflammation. So toss that microwave and use a steam, or a low temperature setting on your oven or air fryer instead — your body will thank you
