Meet Aubrey!
- Aubrey McMullen is an Optometric Technician at Family Eye Care, where she assists patients and supports the clinical team in providing exceptional vision care. Currently pursuing her degree in Kinesiology and Integrative Physiology at Kansas State University, Aubrey is on the Pre-Optometry pathway with plans to attend Optometry school after graduating in December 2026.

Passionate about eye health and patient care, Aubrey is grateful to gain hands-on experience in the field she plans to build her career in. Outside of work and school, Aubrey enjoys spending time with her husband, Skyler, whom she married in July 2025.

Meet Dr. Carpenter!

-Dr. Scott Carpenter joined Family Eye Care in July 2025. A native of South central Kansas, Dr. Carpenter graduated from McPherson College prior to moving to Memphis, Tennessee where he completed his education at Southern College of Optometry. Dr. C was awarded the Kansas Optometric Association Distinguished Service Award for his efforts in co- authoring the “See To Learn” program which trained fellow optometrist in providing vision care to preschoolers. That program has been responsible for providing early intervention vision care to thousands of children throughout the Midwest. When away from clinic, Dr. C enjoys playing golf, working on a never ending list of “garage projects”, and participating in the local Toastmasters club. Dr. C and his wife Kayla are devoted fans of Indycar racing and spend every Memorial Day weekend attending the Indianapolis 500. Dr. Carpenter is available to see patients of any age at the Manhattan location of Family Eye Care.
