This will be my final Happy New Year message as I lead the ministry of Dare Challenge.
When we first began this journey nearly 20 years ago, we had approximately $2,000 in our checking account, one broken-down old church van, and we owned nothing else. We rented the facility we were in and truly started from scratch. From the very beginning, we made a commitment to listen to the Holy Spirit—to allow Him to direct and guide what we do and how we do it at Dare Challenge.
Through the years, God has been faithful beyond measure.
Today, we are just about finished with a brand-new men’s facility that will house up to 50 men. This year, we are also launching a new phase of the program—the Rehab College, designed for graduates who want to stay longer, get a job, build a résumé, save money, and earn a certification through our local college—so they can leave with confidence, dignity, and real tools for long-term success.
We have also purchased a full Women’s Center, which is open, operating, and doing incredibly well—leading women to the cross, restoring lives, and helping them overcome addiction.
And by God’s grace, we are completely debt-free. That alone is a testimony that if you remain faithful to the Lord, He will always be faithful to you.
Now, as this ministry approaches 20 years, it is time for me to step aside and allow new leadership with fresh vision to carry Dare Challenge forward—so that it may continue to grow, prosper, and bring men and women to Jesus. We have never been tied to denomination or religion—only to leading broken lives to the cross.
My prayer for this coming year is that as leadership transitions begin, God will always be first in everything that is done, and that Dare Challenge will remain a ministry that helps men and women become truly successful—in life and in faith.
Chris Warwick will be overseeing the ministry beginning at the end of 2026, and I fully believe God’s hand is on this transition and that this is the right direction.
So as I say farewell in this role, I want to say thank you, God bless you, and Happy New Year.
If you are able, please consider making an end-of-the-year donation to help us continue this life-changing work. Please also keep the new leadership and the future direction of Dare Challenge in your prayers.
God bless you all—and Happy New Year. 🤍
