The Core Concept We’re Teaching
• Flow should be smooth and continuous
• When something blocks the pathway, pressure builds behind it
• The area beyond the blockage is deprived (oxygen, nutrients, blood flow)

That’s the key connection across all three conditions 👇

❤️ Heart Attack (Coronary Artery Blockage)
• The hose = coronary artery
• The kink = plaque/clot
• Pressure builds before the blockage
• Heart muscle after the blockage starts dying (no oxygen)

👉 Translation: “The heart isn’t getting fed.”

🧠 Stroke (Brain Artery Blockage)
• Same concept, different location
• The hose = artery to the brain
• The kink = clot
• Brain tissue beyond the blockage is cut off

👉 Translation: “The brain isn’t getting oxygen.”

🍬 Diabetes (Circulation + Sugar Build-Up)

This is where your analogy gets powerful but needs one tweak:

It’s not just a single “kink”—it’s more like:
• Sugar molecules damage the inside of the hose over time
• The hose becomes narrow, stiff, and less flexible
• Flow is slower and less efficient everywhere

👉 So instead of one big bubble:
• Think multiple narrow points + poor flow overall

Elevation = Control of gravity for patient safety

When you raise your patient, you’re:
• ✅ Letting food & liquids go down the right way (not into lungs)
• ✅ Helping air move freely through the lungs
• ✅ Allowing fluids (like urine) to drain properly
• ✅ Preventing backflow, buildup, and complications
