❄️ Winter Storm Readiness

With a winter storm expected to impact Virginia this weekend, taking a few steps now can help you stay safe and prepared:
-If you rely on dialysis or other life-sustaining treatment, know more than one place you can gao if your usual provider is unavailable.
-Let your support network know where you keep emergency supplies. Consider giving a trusted person a spare key.
-If you use medical equipment that requires electricity, talk with your doctor or provider about how to prepare for power outages. Fully charge any batteries you can.
-Have at least a 7-day supply of medications and keep essential medical items (glasses, hearing aids and batteries, mobility aids) close.
-Keep copies of important documents in an accessible, waterproof place (medication list, insurance, ID, lease or deed).
-Use sand, rock salt, or non-clumping kitty litter to reduce slips on walkways and steps.
