Colorectal cancer screenings are not only preventative care, but also a way to detect cancer in its early stage. Given the new data around colorectal cancer, it’s CRITICAL to get screenings when available. Yes, stigmas and the inconveniences of screenings exist—but our real question is, “which path would you prefer?”

Thank you to Dr. Naeem Newman, Joe Greene, and Kimberly Holiday-Coleman for this important conversation!

Stay tuned for more clips of Early Screening Saves Lives from our Mainstage.

What’s your breaking point to go to a doctor? Do you hold out on seeking care until the symptom is unbearable? Or do you make an appointment as soon as something feels off?

On this episode of Comin' in H.O.T. we discuss how attitudes toward healthcare shape when we seek medical help, and how negative doctor experiences can impact our willingness to visit healthcare providers.

Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month 💙

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is now the leading cause of cancer death in men and women under 50. While the age to begin screenings is 45, people with a family history of CRC are recommended to start screenings 10 years earlier than the age of your family member’s diagnosis.

At last year’s conference, one of our Mainstage sessions was dedicated to CRC, shining a light on two incredible human beings in our community, Joe Greene and Kimberly Holiday-Coleman. Their stories are powerful and we’ll be highlighting segments of their conversation throughout this month.

Stay Tuned!
