Thank you 2024 for the lessons. Nothing prepared any of us for you, yet we all made it through.
I am grateful to see this day, 31 December 2024, and I am pleasantly optimistic to see the opportunity awaiting in 2025.
No matter if your celebration is in the house, on the couch out in them streets beating your feet or in the pew at watch night service, be careful and stay safe.

That's this month's focus.
I | MADE IT;
As we asked others the real question of how they were doing, this thread began weaving itself. 2024 was difficult for many of us.
But, like the joy of a new day, those same people made it to the other side. Just knowing that gave us hope, encouragement, and peace to make December a declaration focus.
I | MADE IT;
No matter the story behind it or the tears that had to fall to get here.
I | MADE IT;
Each day in the last month of 2024, remind yourself that you, yes, you are still here, still going, and making it.
Take 5 minutes each day to do something to help you heal. Pray, drink tea, dance, or listen to a song that motivates you.
We need you to keep making it. Life with you is better that way.

Created for us; by us. This family business; we’ve got more issues then slavery; but we digress. Black Wholeness Collective was created for the:
B L A C K WOMAN | Who went to school (preferably, an HBCU), got her own car and her own job, she works hard and is a bad broad. She’s goal oriented, driven, passionate, accomplished for her age, takes trips with her girls and definitely orders all you can drink at brunch. She’s strong, possibly known as “The Strong” one in the crew. She’ll pray for you and curse you out all while making you laugh; and guess what?
She’s realizing the corporate ladder is just a hamster wheel and she’s the hamster; her friendships, although amazing don’t always check all her needs; her love life may or may not be an untold best seller in the “Cautionary Tale” section; her family is full of generational curses, good/bad memories and brokenness running rampant over bomb Mac-N-Cheese.
She’s open to therapy, bettering her relationship with God and treating her health as a higher priority then not. She knows there is more to life then girls trips, Netflix, crying in bed until she’s dehydrated and wearing a mask to hide herself from the world. Yeah that just about nails it. She is me, I am this black woman; are you?

B L A C K MAN | Who went to school (preferably, an HBCU), got his own car and his own job, works hard and is known as a good catch. He’s driven, goal oriented, passionate, accomplished for his age; doing so much better for himself than most of his homies from back in the day. He code switches like a professional rapper with billionaire plans; and always stays with a fresh line up and a perfectly groomed beard.
He’s realizing the corporate ladder is just a hamster wheel and he is the hamster; his longest friendships, although cool, cause his boys have held him down during some wild days; those days are far behind them; his love life may or may not be an unseen editors cut of P**n Hub The Musical and Love Jones mixed; His family is full of generational curses, good/bad memories and brokenness running rampant over bomb Mac-N-Cheese with extra yam sauce, that when it touches the mac looks like liquid gold.
He’s open to therapy or telling his closest homie his issues in hopes that he won’t judge him and will let him cry without being called anything but his name; he’s open to having a real relationship with God and treating his health as a top priority. He knows there is more to life then late nights, trips, Netflix and chill, wanting to cry in the shower but your anger won't let you. Yeah that just about nails it. He is me, I am this black man; are you?
