What a beautiful turnout today for our August M.A.M.A. Meetup: Little Smiles, Big Care! 💛
Community is truly something special—we weren’t meant to do this motherhood journey alone. The conversation was rich and engaging. We learned that oral care starts as early as in utero, that caring for our own health as mamas is key, and we got some helpful tips for brushing our kiddos’ teeth (even when they’re being a little stubborn 😅). We also got all our questions answered about tongue ties and oral restrictions—such an important and often overlooked topic!
It was especially heartwarming to see some of my past doula clients and “doula babies” I haven’t seen in a year or two—and even one of my former lactation clients came out! When you provide care with intention and heart, people remember. 💛
Huge thanks to Dr. Anamelechi for hosting us and sharing her expertise in such a warm, family-friendly space. The Thrive House, tucked in the heart of NE DC, was the perfect venue to connect, learn, and play.
Special shout-out to one of our Board Members who came out and brought along another mama and her little ones—thank you for actively helping us build community, one connection at a time! 🙌🏾
