The purpose of this organization is to bridge the gap between the academic study of Bipolar Disorder and the Bipolar patient population. Research has shown that people who know more about their disorder are better equipped to manage it and sustain a better quality of life. We invite leading researchers to give live presentations to our members via Zoom and other technologies on recent peer-reviewed articles they have written. We update and curate an online knowledge base of current and important research on Bipolar Disorder. This knowledge base is maintained by volunteers and is available at no cost to our members. Peer to peer learning is an important element in what we do. This knowledge is the foundation of our support group meetings and psychoeducation classes. We offer weekly support group meetings and monthly psychoeducation classes. We provide members with free mood journals based on the scientifically proven NIMH Life Chart Methodology. We are developing a referral database to support our members in search of cost-effective, helpful professionals and organizations. Our goal is to equip members to better understand and participate in their own treatment.
