National Women's Political Caucus Biennial Convention

Research shows that women have a more inclusive, transparent, and collaborative leadership style. They understand and prioritize issues that impact women and families like education, domestic violence, dependent care, and reproductive health care. A diverse governing body is a stronger, more effective, and more representative governing body. Caucus chapters across the country work to recruit women to run for office, train them to run winning campaigns, endorse them, and help raise money to support their campaigns with important early money. Chapters use the comprehensive campaign training manuals to conduct campaign training for candidates, campaign workers and volunteers, and for women who just want to learn more about the political process. How is the NWPC different from other women's organizations? Founded in 1971, the NWPC is the oldest national organization dedicated exclusively to increasing women's participation in all areas of political and public life -- as elected and appointed officials, as delegates to national party conventions, as judges in the state and federal courts, and as lobbyists, voters and campaign organizers - regardless of political party. The Caucus does it's important work of supporting women candidates and working toward gender parity through a network of state and local chapters and individual members.
