* Survival rates continue to rise with each additional week of gestation: around 40% at 24 weeks, 50% at 25 weeks, 60% at 26 weeks, 70% at 27 weeks, and 80-90% at 28 weeks.
* Babies born in this range often require extensive medical attention and may have a higher risk of long-term health problems or disabilities.
* Very Preterm (28-31 weeks): Babies born in this range have an excellent chance of survival, with rates often above 90%. The risk of long-term health problems decreases significantly.
